I just received my E-M10 and love it already.
I'm just trying to figure out all the menus, and adapting the buttons to my wishes.

One thing that it did not manage, is to shoot in Raw mode only. The option is listed, but is gray, and I can't select it.
It is only possible to select RAW in combination with JPEG.
Before you wonder, I'm already shooting in P, A or T mode, not in auto.

Do I have to check a menu setting somewhere, to make it available?

    Best regards,

Make sure that you're in a PASM mode not auto or scene etc

    Shooting Menu 1
    go 4 down ..OK
    Still Picture..right scroll

The choices appear with RAW only at the top / click OK etc to select and get back

If RAW doesn't appear I can only suggest that you reset the camera.

Took me ages to find the superfine jpeg setting!

Yes, I've had the very same problem. I would try hours on end surfing the menu to find a solution. In the end I resorted to resetting the EM10, which ultimately bought back the Raw only option and had since stayed.

When I took my E-M10 out of the box and turned it on, the SCP ("super control panel") displayed on the LCD, unlike the two Olympus cameras I owned previously. If the SCP is not displaying on your LCD, turn it on. Folks have described that procedure here and I refer to it in an older post on my blog (http://www.infotor.com/blog/category/mft/).

Once the SCP is displaying, you can change image quality settings right there on your LCD! No menu diving!

SCP is also turned on when I received mine and it was pretty easy to change everything from there.
