Mine just arrived and I put it on my EMP1 and can focus on near objects?

Is there any good guides on what settings I need when using this lens?

I have a cctv 35mm f1.7 lens as well but mine works fine. I noticed that you have a macro ring (which I don't), maybe you should take that off. Just a thought.

I also think it sounds like you may be using the macro rings. I have the same lens, and it works fine without the macro rings. Using the macro rings, i can only focus a metre or so.

I will add however, that i do have issues with the adaptor ring. My adaptor seems to work ok on my GX1 and GF3, though not on any of my Oly bodies.

The most recent C mount to m4/3 had a macro tub attached to it. The inside of the recessed portion where the screw mount is located should be absolutely flat. if there is something protruding up above the flat space it is an extension tube. I couldnt remove mime by hand. The merchant told me to mount it to the camera to unscrew the extension tube. Good luck.

Here are photos the first is without extension, the second with.
