I have been thinking about this for a while, but somehow it seems that the majority of the users of this forum are quite mature.

I think that these cameras have a general appeal for the (former)film camera user, which might explain this. Also could be that not many young people have the money or time to be "early adopters"…

So I would like to know if I'm right or not.

It's not mandatory to reveal your age in a message :)

Hey Krang. I'm actually not really old and I guess I represent the ~ younger mature ~ age group:)

The clincher for me choosing an mu43 camera is because of the build quality. I have a GF1 and that us very well made IMHO. I've had no experience with film cameras other than looking at them on a shelf ect.

Because I haven't been around all that long, numbers don't have that dreaded effect yet. An yes, I'm 21.

Usually if there's a age multi choice in my country. It's in steps 15-25 25-35 35-45...

So I put it up in bit different steps to fit myself in a slightly younger age group :)

Being 25 I tasted the beauty of traditional camera, spent some time in darkroom and killed many pictures with letting it in photographic developer for too much time. I also had the chance to experience those early years of digital photography and many battles between traditional and digital photographers. Ooooh, I'm soo mature

    That could be it.

Funny thing with affordability is, I know more younger non-professional cats (early twenties) with expensive DSLR's and camera equipment than any other age group. Not saying all... but based off my experience, the younger crowd's self-esteem, ego and self-assessed ability is more tied up with their level of gear.

As some folks get older (wiser, I hope) they tend to overlook what is excessive and focus on what is necessary.

It may be more simple than that. Maybe more hobbyist know about :43:, and that tends to be more of the mature crowd. I'm neither so I stumbled across :43: by accident.

I'm hitting 62 in Oct. So at 61, I still have a way with woman.
I have a very trained eye for younger woman.
It's like aged wine...us older folks see things differently...

Oh, yeah... I like cameras..all kinds..just like women....

Alan, unfortunately my wife does not share my appreciation of women gazing.
I look as any street shooter does but she keeps me happy.
Well, she tells me I'm happy. Who am I to argue....?

I have cast my vote as a woman of a certain age - between 50 and 59.

As for age and maturity, that is one thing...but as for getting older - the alternative is none too bright, so I prefer getting older.

Every time I take one of these polls I seem to get older.

So I think I'll stop taking the polls while I'm ahead.
