After reading the recent thread on Polarizing filters I had a go at cleaning my old film ones, but as always I never get a crystal clear result.
I have tried many brands of lens cleaners from photographic shops over the years and always end up with the same result, not clear like when purchased new.
I tend to use lint free tissues as I worry about potential dirt build up in microfiber cloths.
The fluid I have now is Vanguard brand.
This is the main reason I always have a filter on a lens, my inability to clean one properly.
Do other people get a crystal clean lens or filter after cleaning? Especially if you visit the seaside etc.
If so what do you use and how do you polish/wipe the fluid. I tend to use circular wiping/polishing action.
