There's undoubtedly a very simple answer to this, but I'll be darned if I can find it.

I got an intervalometer and it works great with the OM-D. Tonight I had it taking shots every 2 seconds and noticed that the monitor stays on the whole time, not from playback, but just from the camera being "on." It never gets time to go to sleep.

Is there a way to turn off the monitor while I'm doing this?

The button on the side of the evf should do it

Wow... THANKS! I thought all that button did was turn on or off the eye sensor in the EVF. I didn't realize it had that other setting!

Tapping the button toggles the displays, holding it down bring up the auto EVF sensor option.

You can also press INFO to turn the screen off completely and use only the EVF.

ONLY IF you had it switched to defalt to EVF first...otherwise with the default to the monitor INFO will cycle through all the info display modes (like histogram, level, highlight/shadow, etc.).
