Houston, we have a problem

And this looks like a great place to solve 'em!.....hahaha

My name is Bill (or BillboTex), and I have a new-born, two day old red Panny Lumix DMC-G2. Haven't had to change diapers yet, but I need to change lenses. I want to get a "superzoom" type lens up to around 300mm. Keeping my contrast AF, and as many other features as possible would be nice. I am hoping to get good suggestions here.

Congrats and welcome. There's nothing available in the 300mm range until the new 100-300 comes out later this fall. Your best bet is the 45-200 that's pretty inexpensive, and available right now. There are some 4/3 lenses that have AF, but it's not CDAF, so they'll be slow to AF, plus you need to buy the adapter separately as well.
