We got many more statues over here !
Not really a "statue" but…
Right near our city hall is this bit of art. It is a section of columnar basalt with a shaped and polished top surface. The shapes represent the topology surrounding this little town. The etched lines represent the Stillaguamish river(s). The town is just to the right (south) side of where the two forks of the river meet. The North Cascade mountains rise above the town. I live between the two rivers near the base of the nearest mountain (Ebey Mountain is its name.)
The title of the sculpture is "The Center of the Universe"
Hey Chuck, thanks for posting, nice shot.
We got an unbelievable amount of statues in this town - we got many galleries - and artists - therefore it's the art town of the east !
It's great living here - many tourists around - many terraces - I love it !
In the park across the street from my home in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This is a bust of Frank Boyd, a labor and community leader.
