Thanks to the arbitrary nature of the English language, my vegetable garden is mostly fruits.

Tomatoes.

The scallop shell is a well recognized symbol for the Camino de Santiago, a walking trail in Spain...

Our town in South Germany lies on the Camino de Santiago. This figure cast in metal shows the pilgrim with his typical accessories: rainproof cape, staff with drinking bag (bota) and a bag for the necessary items. On his hat and on the cape in front of his heart is the identifying mark of these pilgrims: the St. James' shell.

A shell logo that has been around for a long time.. sure doesn't look like it did when I was a kid!

There are a few wild nut trees at home. These nuts have an extremely hard shell, and I need to use my bench vice to crack them open. Squirrels are also found of these as I see often them carrying one. They obviously also know how to open them, as I find neat half shells on the ground. Really I have no clue how such a small animal is able to split these shells neatly like that!

A fossilized shell, it has the approximate volume of a baseball.

Great lighting on these!

This weekend's new topic is
Marbles
If you've lost yours, other small glass or stone objects are encouraged!

No marbles left ... too far on the wrong side of forty for that.
Just this luck stone I got to keep me reminded of what is needed most behind the camera: patience.

Here's a late entry for Shells, the classic version of the logo as @Santa mentioned:

"What! Have you lost your marbles? Listen fellas, playing the angles won't help you join the well-rounded set."
