Thanks to mpresley's thread which helped inspire me to make the drive across town for this event. It was a very fun event with a great vibe.

All shot with the 17mm f1.8 on my E-M5

Nice shots. I noticed that there aren't any shots up close while the color powder was flying around  i gather that was held at a temple? The local festival where we live is sponsored by the university students association and appears to be more secular - still great fun.

Thanks for posting. Beautiful suite of images documenting the religious-social aspect of the Festival. Unfortunately I missed the opportunities to go to both Indianapolis and Chicago, scheduled on different days. Next year there is no way I will miss it.

Thanks for your comment! Actually, the shots I got with powder flying about were rather crap (and admittedly I was too much of a wimp to take my brand new gear in so close - a longer lens would've been great here, but the 17mm was all I had).

This was put on at a Hare Krishna temple but included many types of people. Full of great photo opportunities :)
