Hirano Half Case on GF1

Just some quick pics of the Hirano half-case on my GF1. I'm posting these because another member wanted to have a closer look at what the case is like.

Thanks Paul. Am I correct that that is not the recessed tripod mount? Looks very nicely made and I like it in brown, too. Perhaps this will be the "new" classic?

I do like the look of this but I went for the Panasonic ever ready case as it provides full cover for the GF1 +20mm lens, fits in my coat pocket and I can still unclip the front and have the half case on the camera.

It seems these just don't exist for the Olympus, at least they don't seem to be easily available over here in the USA. I would ideally love to have one with a front cover that came off with a snap...like my old OM-1 case.

Hi Paul (Bullfrog),

Could you or anyone else let me know what the quality/feel of this case is like please? Does it improve your grip or is it slippery?

I have an EP2. Hirano is now making cases for the EP2 on Japan Exposures.
