Hi all, just posting to introduce myself to the forum.

I have like photography for a few years with my favourite type being people and wildlife, though I enjoy other areas also. I have used canon dslrs mostly but decided after a recent holiday that I needed to downsize. Since I have ordered an olympus EPL-5. If I am happy with the results I may get rid of my 5d and order an EM1 when it comes out. I just need to figure out if i can get the shallow dof that I sometimes like in my portraits. Hopefully my new camera arrives tomorrow. Take care

    Welcome.

I migrated from full frame Canon to Panasonic m4/3 and have been happy with the change.

Welcome to the forum! I have a EPL5 too. Great compact sized camera. Stick a 45/1.8 on it and you'll get nice shallow DOF. Even better with the 75/1.8, but the lens is a bit big for the EPL5.
