Herons in Sweden

    There is a lake in Solna, Sweden called Råstasjön. I went there with my newly acquired Nikon 300mm f2.8 ED-IF Ais (phiew long name) and the E-M5 to photograph the crowd of herons that gathers there during the winter. I am loving this lens and body combination. The absolute joy of nailing focus on your own. The IQ of the lens is also much better than the Panasonic 100-300!

    Great shots! I've never seen so many Herons! In the UK you get the odd one stealing fish from a pond or building a nest very high up, but nothing like your gathering. Beautiful, thanks for sharing the shots.
