I'm just switching over from lumix, so have a few questions:

It seems tha the default is set so that viewfinder activates when I put my eye to it, screen comes on when I move my eye away from eyepiece. Is there a way to shut off the the screen so only viewfinder/eyepiece is what you look at?

Also, it seems the screen only tilts up and down, doesn't swing out and can't turn it around (so I can hide or protect it) -- is that correct?

Just got this camera and getting used to multiple dials, etc.
    Best, David.
  2. Long press the EVF button, that should take you to the option to turn off EVF auto-switch. There after, short pressing the EVF button can be used to toggle EVF/live view manually.

As you have noted, the screen does not turn around for protection.

On the EM10 mk 1: Go to J under the gear menu. Scroll until you find EVF auto switch. Change it to off. Now the button on the EVF manually switches the LCD and EVF.

The LCD screen only tilts. Hope this helps.
