Hello, sorry for the strange first post. I have come on holiday from the UK to Bruges in Belgium. On the train from Brussels I didn't have a seat and was standing up when the carriage rocked quite severely throwing me against a wall. Unfortunately for me and my camera, my GF3 was in my coat pocket and the impact smashed the screen

So I am now in one of the most photogenic towns in the world without a camera  Google hasn't turned up many photography shops and I've only got two days here so don't want to spend them searching for camera shops. Does anyone on the forum know of any suitable shops or, alternatively, could someone who knows the language have a look on the internet for me and find me a shop to aim for?!

    Thanks, and fingers crossed!!!

Does the camera work other than the screen? Do you have some way to get the pix off the card to view them? (iPad, laptop, etc)

Could always take the "spray and pray" approach, i bet you will get at least some that come out well - much better than nothing.

TC - yes, I do have a laptop with me, but my skills as a photographer are meagre enough even with being able to see what i am taking!

Gwendal - thanks, that shop is about 200m from my hotel! Will take a look.

And there is Demey, in the St Amandsstraat (Intro)
Close to the pub "Chagal", you can't miss it.
Dirk is one of the finest guys in town !!!!

While you're there, a few blocks away, there is that pub "'t brugs beertje"
(Welcome on the website of caf 't Brugs Beertje)
Not entirely without reason, some connoisseurs called this place the best beer house in the world. So, don't miss it !!!!!

Have fun in my native town,
    Rafael

Perhaps then it will be an improvement! :)

It looks like there are several people around, who know the area well - you are in good hands!

Thanks so much for all the suggestions. I'm ready to dash out as soon as the shops open to try and get a replacement. Hopefully my insurance will cover clumsiness

Ha, true, maybe I should give it a try!

Well, I managed to get a E-PM1 in FNAC. Quite disappointed that I couldn't get another GF3. They had a GF2 in stock but wanted 750 Euros for it! No chance! This could be a struggle as I'm not used to Olympus menus having never had one before. Fingers crossed.

Enjoy the rest of your trip! I think you will find the E-PM1 easy to handle...
