Help re Panasonic 12-35mm

    Hi guys, wonder if anyone can help here.... I've bought a 12-35mm. Great lens, but the one I was sent is a purple one. I was led to believe the pre-production model was purple and the proper version is black. While I have no problem with the lens, will this affect a possible resale value and also why would the company have sent this version?! Thanks in advance, Andy

    It has a slight purply tint in some angles. I read the same thing some online photo magazine preview. It sounded strange, but we took it as legit.

    Mine is also purple-ish. More of a graphite actually...as shown above.

    Yup, some parts of mine have an eggplant-purplish hue.
    The only pure black is the zoom ring and the barrel section that extends when zooming.
    Being a two-toned lens doesn't seem to affect my pictures tho. :biggrin:

    Thanks... yep I've phone the shop and they say they're all exactly the same. Love the lens, I use it mainly for video but I'm also going to start taking more photos. It's very sharp
