    Good day all,

I have a Panasonic Leica 14-50 2.8 that I often cram into my suitcase mounted to the camera. Probably not too good for it. Well tonight I got it out to take some shots and it won't zoom past about 20mm. It just solid stops. Anyone have this problem before that can tell me which end to disassemble first? Hopefully I can fix it myself.

    Cheers,

    Malcolm

There's a screw that comes loose inside the zoom and blocks the mechanism.

Wow, thanks. I am going to try to fix it myself. Wish me luck.

Here's another thread on the lens:
    https://www.mu-43.com/f84/gh1-leica-vario-elmarit-14-50-ois-lens-33361/

Happened to me not too many months ago. To fix simply and easily:

    1. remove the rubber zoom ring
    2. remove the two metal stripes carefully
    3. remove the screws which are direct in sight
    4. now you can pull the front ring backwards carefully
    5. you can see three more screws on the inner barrel of the lens. In my case, all these screws were loose
    6. tighten the three screws and assemble the lens in opposite way

Not very difficult in the realm of lens repairs, and it's a bitchin' lens.
