Help me select from these pics

I want to submit a few pics for a local photo contest. I have uploaded some of my pics here. It will be great if you can say which ones are better (comments welcome there as well). I have also added some captions for the pics. Thanks a lot!

How about you pick a small selection of what you consider good pictures and explain why, your thinking behind them, and so forth. Most of the shots you've linked fall into a 'snapshot' category for me, the landscape/skies shots tend to be too cluttered, or lacking clear lines drawing me into the picture.

The ones I like best are the little girl in the snow, although I'm not going to pick one specific crop or flip over another.
