Heh...all these thousands of pictures taken and so few put onto paper...

So I have some 11x14 frames and I was hoping you guys could help me choose 3 (out of these 5) to get printed off. It's hard for me to be impartial after looking through my own photos so much. Maybe none of them? If it decor is fairly plain, with warmer walls. And they won't be displayed together most likely. Which ones do you guys like?

I like photo number 1 and maybe 2 The others are nice also but not to be hanged IMO (the machu pichu - if I am not mistaken, does not look right in the 11x14 format, the sepia one looks nice but 0% face and the last is cute but the subject is too central and background not helping)

#1 is my favorite of the bunch. Of the rest, maybe 2 and 3?

Hmm I do have the same man with more of him and his face but you lose more of the scenery. Worthwhile trade?

I love 1,3,4 but probably 1,2,3 will make a hit on the walls.

The one in color has greater presence, and more humanized. -Chrome

I like #1, but not sure I'd want to look at it every day.
    #2 and # 6 are timeless....#3 is close, but there's just something I can't quite define....I'd go with 2, 6 and 3

Machine pichu is my first choice as well. I would think some cropping might be in order.

    Second choice is number 1.

    Personally don't like the wave.

I like #1, but then again.. its your wall and your shots..
I have some pictures of me and my friends hanging out. Its blurry and make no sense to other people but very meaningful for me.

I'm interested in how you shot #1. Is that a tilt lens? Or post production tilt effect?

    Heh..zombie thread!

karl: #1 is a tilt effect, 50mm 1.8 Olympus OM in a tilt adapter mount.

For those that are curious, I've printed all of them up in some form. The wave as a 4x6to test a new printer, the NY lock as a 5x7 in my office, and 1/3/4 (tilt bokeh street/macchu/peruvian hiker) ended up becoming the 11x14's on my wall. I'm thinking about revisiting the Machu Pichu shot since I have a printer and new 11x17 paper, allowing me a wider crop. Would have to change my matting though. :/
