    Hi all

I'm coming to m43 and interchangeable lens cameras for the first time from my old Canon S3 bridge. SLRs were always out of the question for the weight and consequently I could never quite do what I wanted with the Canon, but with the G3 that arrived this morning :dance3: and posting here, hopefully I'll get into things far more :)

Welcome! I was born in Bath, Somerset but left in 1955.

I also use a G3. It is a versatile camera with very good image quality. Don't forget that Olympus Micro Four Thirds lenses will fit as well as Panasonic, plus independent manufacturers are starting to come good with m4/3 lenses. My current outfit consists of a mixture of Olympus and Panasonic glass, and I have just ordered a Samyang fisheye.

I be good, thee's 'peak zummerzet?
I haven't seen anything full screen yet but there's a clear difference just viewing in playback, detail and dof quality I've not seen before.

I'm thinking of a similar setup to yourself besides the wide zoom, will definately be getting the 45-175 and would like the 20, I might swap to the 14-45 kit later; I do like the 35mm FOV though so the rumoured fast Oly 17 looks interesting, hopefully Panasonic release something between the 14 and 20 or Sigma release something shorter and fast.
