I'm a Nikon shooter, and that D3 with f2.8 glass really works well at a HS football game. But it is way too much to carry around for a casual stroll. I'm looking for a high quality, small alternative and the micro 4/3 seems very promising. If Nikon would only bring one out at Photokina this year. I'm looking forward to learning a lot from this forum.

Thanks,
Ed

Welcome Ed.
Philly here. The 1st step is to decide on the form of the camera. You may find the Panny G series attractive as it is close to the form your in with the Nikon.
I have the Pens as I like the Leica form in a camera.

There's plenty to read around here.
If your near Philly, we could meet and I can let you try a Pen.
Don

View finder important

Streetshooter you read me very well. I've spent too many years looking through a view finder. I have a little LX3 that is fun and takes a nice picture, but I feel like I'm shooting blind using the LCD. The anticipation of a new purchase is half the fun.
