Yet another version of the famous Helios 44, this one is the sharpest of the lot but it has only 6 blades iris.
I have been previously tricked by a Russian eBayer that sold me a fake 44M-7 (a dressed up 44M), but eventually I managed to get a genuine one. It renders specular highlights as strong bubbles and it is noticeable sharper than my Helios 44-2, especially wide open. If I want creamier bokeh however I reach for the Helios 44-2.

    Hi!

I got my first legacy lens. It should be Helios 44M-7 but according to the SN on it its either 44M-5 or 44M-6, so mybe seller replaced front of the lens with the name and version or just the part where SN is. Nevertheless, I don't really care since the lens is in very good condition :) After a week or so I managed to try it out and I am very satisfied with the results and here are some first shots (camera: Olympus E-M5, basic PP - whitebalance, sharpnes, contrast, etc):

I took the Helios 44-7 to the beach to see how it does shooting into the light. I was pleased with very little flare (unlike another vintage lens I had with me that was practically unusable in this situation: Argus Tele-Sandmar Enna Werk Munchen 100mm f4.5)
