    Hello all,

    I am looking to buy a Helios-40 (85mm f/1.5), preferably in M39 LTM mount.

If anybody has such a lens and is interested in selling it, please PM me. :)

Have you considered the Samyang/Phoenix/Vivitar 85/1.4? It's sharp wide open, has very smooth bokeh, and is probably less expensive.

Of course, the Helios is something special.... BTW, if you're looking for something REALLY special, I will soon be selling my beloved Rollei Carl Zeiss 85mm f1.4 with QBM-M4/3 adapter :)

Hmm... never really considered the Vivitar. The Zeiss certainly sounds interesting! Damn you Roberto, always messing with my mind. ;)

While I have a few too many 85's (85/2 Nikkor; 85/2 Jupiter-9; 85/1.4 Zeiss; 85/1.4 Rokunar) and I'm trying to reduce my lens collection, the Zeiss is like an irresistable old flame...I keep trying to make a break from it, but every time I approach it, I fall for it again! It's very similar in sharpness at 1.4 to the Samyang/Rokunar, and it is a bit more compact and built of metal rather than plastic. Rationally, I'd suggest the Samyang, but emotionally, ....

I'm away for a few days in Atlanta and New Orleans and will try to stay in touch, but if not, feel free to PM me when I return if you haven't found something.
