Has anyone sent in a camera to Panasonic for cleaning?

    My Panasonic LX100 has dust/link that is visible at apertures F5.6-F16. The camera has the 3 year extended warranty, and I was wondering how long it takes for Panasonic to fix/clean the camera, and send it back. I go to Mexico in two weeks. I don't think I'll get it in time for my trip.

    I asked Panasonic if I can take it to a local place and they said: Only if the unit was out of warranty you could have taken it to a local shop of your choice because you wouldn't be voiding the warranty at that time but you are under warranty so you will have to send it in to us.

    I don't think that a general cleaning will be covered under the original 1 year warranty or the extended 3 year warranty.
