I was given a Hanimex 135mm lens that has a M42 mount. It was clean and tidy all over including the optics. It is made of metal with a small lens hood and accepts 52mm filters. Focusing is nice and smooth, but the aperture ring is very close to the mount, I would say too close and feels a bit delicate. A little research on the web showed that a few people own this lens with the aperture ring not working, though it is easily fixable. I have seen these lenses on ebay for £/$10.00.
anyway, here is the picture of this lens and the pictures it can take.

    DMC-GF3    ---    14mm    f/4.0    1/15s    ISO 160

    DMC-GF1    ---    0mm    f/1.0    1/80s    ISO 100

    DMC-GF1    ---    0mm    f/1.0    1/80s    ISO 100

    DMC-GF1    ---    0mm    f/1.0    1/60s    ISO 100

    DMC-GF1    ---    0mm    f/1.0    1/160s    ISO 100

    DMC-GF1    ---    0mm    f/1.0    1/500s    ISO 100

    DMC-GF1    ---    0mm    f/1.0    1/400s    ISO 100

I wish I saw that fly at the time.

The lens has very good color rendition and it looks like circular broken. Nice find.

This is interesting. Back in 2004 I had a hipsterish girlfriend who wanted film SLR. So I prowled the pawnshops looking for one. Eventually I found a bag deal with two bodies and three lenses. I gave the working body (can't remember what it was) to her and kept an old Sears TLS M42 mount and a 50mm f2 and a 135 Haminex. Considerably older than yours.

Now that I have a m43 camera, I plan to get an adaptor and try the lenses out. Would the Sears/Ricoh 50 be any good?
