This may be of interest; I've just spotted that Cameraworld are selling the Olympus BLS-1 battery for £29.99 http://www.cameraworld.co.uk/ViewProdDetails.asp?prod_code=PON06J000106&MProdCode=PON10A000167
John - from the picture on their site I'm pretty sure that is NOT an Olympus battery but a Chinese clone - others are selling that same one for £11.99 http://www.digitalmediastore.co.uk/batteries/camera_batteries/olympus/digitalmediastore_PSBLS1_BLS1_PREMIUM_compatible_battery_for_OLYMPUS_C5060_Wide_Zoom_C7070_Wide_Zoom_C8080_Wide_Zoom__E1_E3_E30_E300_E330_E500_E510_E520__WIN-OYBLS1B-D but personally if buying a "clone" I'd go for one of the recognised names like Hahnel who do a BLS-1 replacement at around £22

Whoops - good spot! If it's not an Oly that ad is misleading!

Thanks for replying.

The world is full of rogues & conmen - If it looks too good to be true, it probably is!!
Good point, but Cameraworld are usually highly reputable. I often visit their shop in Chelmsford and rate them far better than Jessops in general, although I must say the local Jessops is excellent too, somewhat bucking the trend.

I had a Maximal battery from Amazon that cost $10 and had more capacity than the Olympus one. It worked great for my E-620 and hld-5 grip for the time I had it.
