That didn't work. I also tried resetting all the settings. This is what I'm getting... {} {} The HDR option is greyed out and it skips passed it on the menu. With the afs/aff/afc menu option I can change it but it doesn't update on the display and then I can select it on the display screen like I can with everything else.
...and when using the 20mm, AFF and AFC cannot be used (according to the manual). So what you are observing is as expected. I tried it with 14-45mm, and both AFF and AFC can be set without a problem.
It took me a while to figure out the HDR function on the GH3. You cannot access this function unless the image quality is set to JPEG (not JPEG + RAW). The only image saved is the resulting HDR image created by the camera. The image files used to create the HDR image are not saved. This is pretty much the way the in camera HDR function works in Olympus and Panasonic cameras. I prefer bracketing the exposure with the camera mounted on a tripod and using the resulting images to create the HDR image in post processing. That way I can use the RAW files and the individual image files are saved. Mike
thanks guys! panic over..... you'd think it would still allow you to choose HDR mode and just temporarily turn RAW off... going out shooting today so will post up some shots later/tomorrow
