Did a quick search but came up dry. Does the GX7 IBIS work on the subject lens during photo and video work?

I'm looking to ensure that the performance of the Oly lens will be as good as the Panny.

Any input or first hand experience appreciated!

My understanding is that the Panasonic GX7 IBIS does not work with video, only with still photography. So the only way to have stabilized video is to use a Panasonic lens that has their Mega OIS. The Olympus 12-40 will be stabilized when taking still photos but not with video.

Looks like I'll need to focus on the 12-35 then.

I would if I owned a Panasonic body, which I do. The extra 5mm on the long end is meaningless.
