    Few notables:

    1/8000 shutter speed
    Field sequential evf (like gh1/2)
Movie mode doesn't have the same highbitrate mov formats as gh3
    IBIS
    tiltable EVF and LCD
    Focus peaking
Slightly different pixel count than gh3, so looks like it may be a new sensor.

I can't wait to hear more about it. I really like its design. I was almost tempted to buy an E-P5, but I am going to wait to see how things shake as these, and possibly more, bodies are introduced this fall. I am surprised that B&H does not have anything up yet.

As I predicted, movie mode is exactly the same as the G6. Also, no external microphone input.

...and theres that claim again, 25% better s/n ratio....even quoting it to be equal to the Fuji X-M1 @ ISO 6400 !!!!

    QUOTE

Again flagship, new sensor and new processor

Away from the race pixels that engage and Sony ... Sony (via smartphones and Nikon DSLR), Panasonic is very reasonable and maintains the classic 16 million pixels. However, do not rely on the data sheet for the GX7 has the scoop of two new technologies. The first extends the effective area of the photosite, without increasing the size (and therefore the size). The second consists of the addition of an electronic circuit in the sensor output directly that allows both to filter noise and to amplify the signal in case of low luminosity. Thus, the saturation threshold of the photosites, sensitivity and acutance (micro-contrast) each increased by 10%. Side of the signal / noise ratio, not less than 25% gain to be expected. Here he is equipped to face a priori, ISO 6400 with as much ease as does a Fuji X-M1 (APS-C).

That will be interesting to see how the claim holds up in real life. If its legit then thats a pretty significant jump in performance.

well, I preordered at BH and Amazon (links at 43rumors.com), but I'm actually wanting the black version so I may need to change those orders if black becomes available soon. excited!

hmm, Engadget says black will only be available in Japan, but UK already has preorders for it. it better come to US.

When is the estimated date of delivery? Here in Japan it says mid September. Too bad Panasonic cameras here don't have English menus

Great feature list, especially the silent shutter which should make it a perfect camera for street shooting. Too bad Panasonic couldn't keep the size down (particularly the thickness) - it's 3/4 inch thicker than the Olympus E-P5!

What? 3/4 inch thicker? Now that's a fat camera.

Maybe it's just around the grip area
