    Hi all

In the flash setting section there is an option for Auto Exposure Comp, I have been unable to find anything in either instructions that say what it's for or when to use it. Anyone know.

How is it different to the exposure compensation setting also in the flash menu.

Thanks for any help with this

Apparently its to force the Flash to follow any exposure compensation set on the camera automatically, not sure why you would not want the flash to that by default but that's what the setting is for "Apparently"

  3. So that you can change flash/ambient ratio independently, especially when flash is going to be the primary light source and ambient is fill. The main (flash) exposure will be auto set by TTL (which you can fine tune using FEC), then you can change the ambient fill level using EC without affecting the main (flash) exposure.

I second that, I would never want flash linked up to my ambient exposure, you can never get the specific result you want if you link them together
