Howdy folks. The viewfinder on my GX7 seems to have gone out of focus; that is it does not display a uniformly focused image regardless of the diopter adjustment. I've always had to have the slider all the way to the right. In the past this resulted in a clear image from edge to edge. Now, it's still the best adjustment (to the left is completely blurred, as before), but the image is no longer clear. It's quite blurry on the edges and splotchy in the middle. My vision hasn't changed - I don't wear contacts or glasses.

Otherwise the camera is fine - the LCD works normally and no issues with the controls or images.

Any ideas? I'm not afraid to take the viewfinder apart (I have the service manual) but wanted to see if anyone else had experienced this or was knowledgeable about the EVF lenses and diopter adjustment. Thanks,

    jeff

An update for anybody who read this :D

I took apart the viewfinder housing and found that it was the glass lens on the actual viewfinder assembly, the thing you see moving in and out when you move the diopter adjustment, had gotten out of whack. The left side had come loose somehow and was sticking out a bit. I gently/firmly pressed it back into place and now all is well. Hopefully it stays that way. If not at least I know how to fix it again.
