Just wanted to share some shots I took last weekend up near Bellingham, WA. I ended up using all my lenses, 20mm, PL45, 7-14, and 100-300.

Wow, those look great! Can you share your processing of those, or are those straight out of camera JPEGs? (And if JPEG, what settings?)

A really nice set. No 1 is my favourite, who would have thought industry could be so beautiful - but it is!

Wow everyone thank you so much for the feedback! I'm really happy with these pictures and it's kind of stunted my desire to go out and take pictures on these dull grey days we've been having here in Washington.

All my shots are in RAW. I almost always do some editing in LR4. The first 3 pictures the adjustment are mainly in the contrast, highlights, shadows, whites, and clarity. The 4th shot is as shot. 5-6 I took 3 shots at EV -1,0,+1 and combined in photomatrix. The 6th is heavily edited just cause I thought it was fun. The final photo I did the most editing on.

I don't really have any method to editing as I've only been taking photos for about 6 months so I just kinda play with the dials until I like it. Hope that helps! I'm not too technical

Beautiful shots, I especially like #4 and #6 ... the color and light play in #6 is really wonderful!

    Great photos!!!

Love Chuckanut Drive. One of the top reasons why I hope to retire in the Bellingham area.

    Hi neighbor,

Nice images! I was wondering if you did any saturation adjustments to the fourth image in post-processing? And, did you see any migrating swans or geese in the area yet? I am looking forward to this year's migration, especially since they have been spotting snowy owls again!

All very cool pictures, but #4 is my favorite. I enjoyed Bellingham when I visited there in 2008

I just went back and looked at the original files, since the one I posted has no changes in the develop tool. Turns out image four was edited in photomatrix, so there is definitely some saturation bump.

I actually did see some swans overhead on my way back. It was way too dark for the 100-300 to do anything effective. Snowy owls? I'd love to see that!

Thanks for the additional info. It is a beautiful image, and I have seen some amazing colors at sunset in the Skagit valley, but it is always good to ask since were are talking photos, and we do have license to make them look as we desire. If you are interested in the owls, there was an article in the Seattle Times a few days ago about some recent sitings. I know that Seattle Audubon society has some links on its web site that have current information on bird sitings. I think it is called twitters, or something similar. There was an owl spotted in our neighborhood, but I have not seen any signs myself. I am a bit more hopeful for a siting in the Skagit valley.

    Beautiful images.

I lived there for 11 years and have many, many slides of the area. Still miss being there, but my wife finally reached the point of no return with grey and rainy days. Now we live on the other side of the Cascades.

Thanks for the quick trip down memory lane

Bellingham near here doesn't do sillhouettes. Just snow right now.

Very nice... just live up the road ish... I love riding my bike around that area, and one of the main reasons to get a µ43 system is so that I can bring my camera with me. I sure hope to encounter some scenes like this when out riding.
