Finally decided to try out the 45-175 Lumix lens where it's needed.
Using it with viewfinder. very cool. fast focus. I read up on the use of manual focus to blur the fences out. That was very helpful. Camera almost always seemed to want to focus on the fence itself.
Overall, I am pretty happy with the lens. It seems quite sharp, though some photos came out less sharp than others. Light conditions were pretty variable with a lot of shade, maybe that had something to do with it. On some of the more stationary animals like lions I used a 2 second shutter delay to try to avoid more shake. I also planned to turn off OIS system and try to see how it goes without it, but looking at the shutter speeds, I didn't think I could manage without it.
