If @DeeJayK doesn't care, let's restart this with an easy one.
Sorry all...I didn't realize this was one of those "win and post" situations. As usual, I didn't read the instructions.

Anyway, thanks for getting it rolling again @TNcasual and sorry for the faux pas.

If no one else has a guess on the spot, then you can go ahead with an image.
Fine, make me use the google machine...

Snake River overlook is the exact spot that he took the photo known as ‘Snake River and the Tetons’?

When the UFO came, I went down the road to hide under a Giant Rock.

...and no, I didn’t get to bathe in the sound. They were closed.
Thanks to that Subtle Clue (and some consultation with the Googles) I'm gonna say that this is the High Desert Observatory.

Although it seems that @TNcasual already knew that. And really, I like the poetry of @Harvey Melvin Richards answer better.

Well, I’ve never heard to it referred as the High Desert Observatory, but you have indeed found the correct place in the article you linked to, so you win!

Commonly referred to as the “Integratron”, and found in Landers, CA

Deception Pass, although I haven't seen the bridge wrapped like that before.
Nailed it. I kinda figured that one would be quick and easy.

The tarps are because they're painting it, which is a real pain when you have to ensure that no errant paint chips or drops end up in the water. If I recall, they're three years into a two year project. When this was taken a few months ago they had recently removed the draping from the half that they'd finished.

Ok, here's my challenge. Where is this? It's actually a bit of a tourist attraction so don't be worried that it's some obscure place.
(I pixelized a part of the photo that had an obvious clue.)
