I've been visiting the forum for a while now. I loved learning about photography in college back in the 80s. I am a graphic designer and use a Nikon everyday in my work, but I had been looking for something a little closer to my old-school love of 35mm shooting. I still had my OM kit and when the E-P1 was introduced I knew it was just what I was looking for. I got the standard kit with the 14-42 and bought the 17mm right away. I also got an OM adapter and started filling in my vintage prime collection. I have purchased a couple of Panny longer zooms for shooting wildlife, but my favorite thing is to get out my OM 50mm Auto Macro and shoot close ups of flowers and everyday objects. I got my sister to buy the E-PL1 for her first DSLR and she is loving it. I just bought a new E-P2 and am passing the E-P1 down to my nephew. I have found that shooting micro 4/3 has more of the feel of the shooting I grew up with. I still use the Nikon for most things at work, but my Oly takes amazing product close ups - it's smaller size makes it much easier to get into tight spots. Sometimes I like to go out and take nothing but the pancake and exercise my eye. Anyway - this forum is a great resource and I'm glad to be here.
