I took a little walk along the Potomac with my G3 and pl25 this afternoon:
Thanks for looking!
Awesome pictures, visited many times while living in NoVa. Used a tripod?
Thanks! I had an UltraPod II with me for the long exposures.
Great nature shots! I especially like the long exposure shots with perfect wispy flowing water.
Thanks for sharing!
Did you capture from MD side or VA? I was wondering how you could get down close to the water..
Great shots. The Billy Goat Trail always provides some fantastic views of the Potomac River!
Thanks! These were all taken on the MD side from the C&O Canal National Historical Park. On my relatively short hike I saw quite a few places where one can access the water. There seemed to be far fewer options on the VA side, though.
Great nature shots!
I really like the last one. Something cool about it.
I live about 10 miles away from the Great Falls park, but on the VA side.I have visited a few times, but never found any place to get close to water.I think the overlook areas are the only places to see the falls from VA side.
Very, very fine. I love the second shot and the last two.
Great pictures and beautiful composition. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the kind words, everyone!
Here is one more:
My favorite place to make out when I was in high school ...
In between taking pictures, of course.
