Hi all, over Christmas I got an adaptor for my dads old Minolta 58mm f1.4 lens. I loved using it and some great results came with the manual focus lens. The focal length is perfect for natural portraits and the black and white looks great at iso400 - 800.

It makes me wonder why Panny or Olympus won't release a fast lens at this focal length. I love this lens but with the adaptor it weighs more than my GF1. I don't know if I can justify taking it on my next trip...

Nice set. Especially the first and last. I really like my minolta too.

Thanks, yeah it is a great piece of glass. It's hard to believe it is over 30 years old! It is nice and sharp wide open too.
