Best buy has a bundle on the epm1 for $699. It's comes with zoom kit and also the 14-150 mm lens. What u guys think? It looks like the old lens in the picture.

    I say yes.

The 14-150mm costs ~$500 by itself.

Did you find this online somewhere? If so, can we have a link?

If it's this deal, then it's not the 14-150, but the 40-150mm.

You got me all excited ...

Thanks for the info, but a link is helpful. Did you see it in store or online?

I found this: Olympus : Compact System Cameras - BestBuy but that doesn't seem a great deal to me. It's MSRP on the EPM1 ($499) + $200 for the 40-150, a lens that has sold for $150 from time to time at various sites.

edit: s0nus beat me to it.

Best Buy sells the EPM1 bundled with the 40-150mm not the 14-150mm. I would not go for that bundle.

Sorry ! Its 40 -150 ! It's on best buy website. I thought the 40-150 mm was $299. Just bought a mini last week and saw this bundle this week. $200 more gets me this bundle. I have to return my week old mini back to Ritz's. problem is I can't find the lens cap, dont know what Ritz will do about that.

Steelerdan, the bundle you are looking at includes the 40-150mm (a $150-200 lens), NOT the 14-150mm (a $450-600 lens). It is the retail value, you are not getting a deal buying that kit at bestbuy.

Edit: the 40-150mm MSRP is $299, however you can purchase it under $200 used (several online sites have sold it for as low as $150).

Ritz charges a restocking fee for returning as far as I can tell. I'd just buy the lens used if you really want it.

Agreed - plus, you've bought it and used it, and intend to keep using the camera, so why go through the trouble of returning it to get another one, putting ritz at a loss (they will either return it or resell it) and taking up more of your time!

Here is the 40-150mm refurbished via cameta auctions on ebay for $180, free shipping and no tax:

Olympus M.Zuiko 40-150mm Micro 4/3 Pen Digital ED Lens | eBay

Note that while this is the first version of the lens, the changes to the second generation are purely cosmetic; focus speed and sound, and the glass are all the same.

A BRAND NEW one at Adorama (old style, not new) is $252, so you're only saving $50 after all the hassle of reboxing, returning, and possible restock fee over the BB deal. And as many others have stated, you can get them cheaper on eBay or used.
