I just love shooting architectural fragments, and I'm finding the GF-1 with pancake lens perfect for this task! This pic is a macro of part of the gold detailing in the Parliament building in Budapest. Apparently there is 40kg of gold leaf throughout the building - which to me didn't sound alot. Having said that, it's everywhere on the walls and ceilings, so a little bit clearly goes a long way!

Lovely - it's great the way the stained glass shows up in the vaulted background. I think I'd better head over to your Flickr stream to see more of this place!
