Just been on Holiday for a few days to Cornwall near Lands End, as we neared Cornwall my wife remarked how the light was changing (Cornwall is famous for the light, thats why lots of painters flock there, hence the Newlyn School of Painters). The sky seemed bluer, my wife summed it up in one sentance...Gods turned the lights on....
The sky really was that blue, no polarizer filter used, all jpeg's
My holiday also took in Salisbury and the Eden project, but will post those later

Great color, yes -- but I am also very much digging the composition. Nice work.

Excellent. I really like the tin mine, but the color on that "red sailboats" shot is amazing.

PS- Al, when I hit the second image, I thought "wow, God may have turned the light on, but he also drained the pool".

That pano is a killer. Nice job.

AL -Nice group. It is fabulous light. With all the gray days of this winter and spring, I just thankful to have light. Fabulous light here, would indeed be God sent!

Thanks for the comments guys, I was very lucky with the weather, was grey skys for weeks her in the UK, a week of sunshine and back to grey skys again.
I think the pics show what a great little camera the GX1 is for the current price, coupled with the cheap p14 prime, for next to no money you have a very capable kit.

I like the first shot best, just enjoying the contrast of red and blue and tying the door's blue in with the sky. Might have also been cool to be able to see more of the sky to balance the frame a bit but I like it!

Not sure how I missed this set before. I like how bright they are. Recently I played around with a Fuji XE1, and one of the biggest things I noticed was that my OMD was metering about 2/3 to 1 stop darker than the Fuji. I think you've done a good job with these brightness levels. Makes you feel like you are out there near that water.

The light was truly amazing, I think its because Cornwall is a peninsula with sea on both sides, thus little pollution, all are jpegs but contrast and texture was enhanced with the high pass filter in levels
