    Hello,

This is what I see when looking at my GM5. Do you think it is normal?
Pictures are nice but I'm worrying a bit about build quality...

Just checked my GM5 and I have white spots in that same crevice. BUT, I took a sheet of paper and swiped thru, and as I suspected it was just dust/dirt. Build quality is excellent on my GM5 and it does not suggest any ill fitting parts. Everything is flush and black.

Well, in my case I'm almost sure this is not dust. I've already try to remove that with paper, and it didn't work.
In fact it seems to be like metal pieces, I think I can see screws, but only on one side of the camera. The other side is perfect, and I agree the camera looks well built, except that.

I saw an exposure model of GM1 today and I did not notice anything about this.

Build quality on my GM5 is excellent; 6 months old and it looks as good as new.

Mine is a second hand, 6 months but only 300 clics. Well, if it is not detrimental to the sensor, I think there is no real problem, but I was quite surprised when I understood what it is.

Interesting, I'll keep an eye on it. 3 years warranty (2 1/2 to go) so it will get sorted if required.

I hope this is the small leather band around the lens mount which is a bit too narrow. Otherwise, pieces assembly must be perfect, it it was not the case all my pictures would be blurred on the left side. I haven't see anything wrong about that for the moment.

I have a 1,5 years warranty. If dust does not abnormally affect the sensor, well, I'll consider it is just a small aesthetic defect. It is not very noticeable, I'm curious, it was quite difficult to photograph.

I think the problem is on paint quality.

I agree it is probably superficial.
But I think it is not paint: there are narrow leather bands on each side at the beginning of the metal lens mount on the black version. I don't know about the red one.
