GM1 Ming Thein review

    It's interesting that he really says many of the same things as the LL review but this review is favorable because he is happy to shoot with this kind of camera.

    I'm guessing he's not shot with the GX7, so this is his first experience with the new menus Panasonic has devised (real positive in my book). If you sold off the 12-32 the GM1 would only be about $100-$150 more than an E-PM2...

    Ming is a strange photographer to me but I agree with his review for the most part.

    I just can't warm up to Olympus and I guess it's the opposite to him

    Yes - but the LL review made clear that lack of an EVF was (as a personal matter) fatal...MT does not share that view. I thought it was a pretty (I hate to use this word in this way) transparent review.

    This was fun, if only to see how he put the GM1 to use. I admire Ming's work immensely, but even if I didn't like his style, his shooting technique is much more precise that of other reviewers... it was nice to see the little camera held up as well as it did in that context!
