I just got this new Lumix GM-1. It is taking some great high ISO shots and the noise is very pleasing without any post needed. I got it from Taiwan because I liked the orange one so video is PAL, but I don't care and can convert in post if I ever use it.

It looks odd with the 35-100, but I finely found a camera that my Oly 45 doesn't look stupid on.

This is a ISO 6400 shot with no post other then LR defaults (mild sharpening) when I converted from RAW to JPG. It also has the best auto WB Iv'e ever had in a camera. This restaurant has very harsh yellow light and I always have to fix it in post, but didn't feel the need with these. I also didn't need to put on a faster lens. I'm sure it will love my 20mm 1.7 as this was shot at 5.6 with the kit lens. I'm sure with a little PP this would clean up very nicely, but for FB and general social photography this might be the best camera ever!

The 45 does look good/balanced size wise, on it. Would like to see the 20 on it. I also like the orange leather look.

The 20 looks a little odd but feels OK when holding the camera.

Taiwan isn't NTSC? Why is it PAL?

Here's my black with hand grip and 20mm 1.7. I really want the silver and black version but it's not available in Canada.

China is PAL and so should be Taiwan like the rest of Asia except Japan.

I don't live in Taiwan, but I'm pretty sure it's NTSC. Perhaps the camera originally came from HK or China?

Mike, thanks for posting this, I think I'm tipping over to get this one next... btw I like your taste of music.

You're welcome.

While the Oly 45 is slightly larger then the lens mount, it's only about a mm or two so it still works just fine and the tri-pod plate fits nice and flat against the cameras bottom.

The 35-100 does look a bit crazy on the GM1, impressed by how much smaller that body is than a GX1.

I'll trade! I want a black one but they're only selling silver here in the US.

I was playing around with burst mode today and have a couple of series. The first one shows what might be the jello/shutter effect or the ball might have just been going too fast for the SS. I'm not sure which caused it. I had the camera in S mode and set to 1/1600's. You also should keep in mind that I'm throwing the ball as hard and as strait as I can at the dog with my left hand and shooting burst mode with my right hand, so the camera is moving a lot during the 4 shot burst.

When I looked at it I wished I had used my GH3 so there would have been more shots.
