Is my shot grain?
I see no grain. Many who do it is due to monitor settings. Most monitors come "out of the box" with Sharpness, Contrast, and Brightness set too high; often WAY TOO HIGH.
The very slightest degree of oversharpening can cause the appearance of grain and "noise" where there is little or none. Calibrate you monitor with the buttons on the monitor.
The darker image is underexposed (which is not a bad effect if you build contrast on the aircraft). The lighter is obviously lightened with either Brightness or with shifting the Gamma (if your software has that function). When you lighten underexposure quite a bit you do "bring out" digital noise which occurs with underexposure. But I don't see any appreciable amount of that in the second version.
