Shot my first concert this weekend at a winery, of Preston Reed, the acoustic two-hand technique guitarist, and realized a bit too late that there was no way I was getting as close as I had to with him since whenever the camera's focus would lock on, there is a VERY audible beep in quiet conditions. There must be some bone head thing I'm over looking. Any suggestions?
I try to cough whenever I autofocus. Seriously, I have an aftermarket ebook on the GX7 menu system and it has a Beep Volume setting under the setup menu that silences the camera. There is also a silent mode under the custom menu. I assume you've looked for things like this but that's what I have for a slightly different Lumix body.
