No idea yet what the prices will be, but the Pana GH3 and the Nocticron 42.5 are coming up as (separate) Amazon Lightning Deals starting at 11:50 a.m. Eastern Standard Time.

Lenses all gone in 3.5 minutes. I hit buy about 15 seconds in and it showed 64% sold. By the time I was done with the order, logged out and went back to look at deal out of curiosity, it was 92% gone and then it took about 30 seconds more to sell out.

Nocti deal is still going, $500 off, shows 90% claimed as of writing this post

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HXE4GZQ

Edit: claimed number keeps going up and down, if anyone is interested in this lens I would just try to order it and see what happens.

I paid full price for my Nocti, and don't regret it, so $500 off should be very appealing. Not trying to spam amazon links here or anything, just think its a great deal for anyone on the fence about this lens.

I came really close to pulling the trigger on this one but didn't end up getting nocti. I set my limit to $1000, so on one hand, I'm proud of myself for sticking to my limit. On the other, I feel like there is a 42.5mm hole in my heart.

I guess people claim the deal who aren't sure they want to buy. It would appear that when the item gets put into a shopping cart it shows claimed and then if folks remove it, the item becomes available again, so if someone wants one they should get on the waiting list and keep an eye on amazon?

If they remove the item from their cart or don't complete the deal in time, the item will be made available to the next person on the waiting list....and so on until the deal expires.

I bought the 42.5mm, but still not sure if I really want this lens yet. I chose the slowest shipping option to give myself time to cancel the order.

Don't cancel if you decide you don't want it... Resell and make an easy few hundred bucks.

If you wanted the lens enough to buy and pay for it, I doubt you will be disappointed in it when you get it. If you have any hope of not spending the money, I would cancel now before it arrives and you fall in love.

I've just sent my Nocticron ($1100 deal, used) back to Amazon - too big and heavy for my purposes.

That is shame! I am sure there were several folks, like myself, who missed out on the deal and who would have happily paid you $1100 for the lens.

There are two used lenses at $1300 from Amazon Warehouse and they still offer 10% discount, making it $1170 - very close to what you would pay me with Paypal fees and shipping.
