Just couldn't resist sharing a couple of quick snaps. GH2 with the 14-42mm kit lens and a Panny 20mm.

Thanks to the forum members who helped me acquire these so quickly when I couldn't find any reasonably priced local stock after weeks of research. (And to the postal guys working on the Saturday of a long Easter weekend!)

I'm already really impressed by the size and weight. Even with lens I think it weighs less than my first digital camera - Powershot S45! After a brief panic finding the right power adapter, now I'm going to sit down and start reading the manual. Look for my first :43: shots in the next day or so.

I was lucky enough to grab the last GH2 + 14-140mm kit on Amazon just now and it should be here by Tuesday. I can't wait!

    Some first attempts

Only took about 50 photos today and haven't even tested the video yet. Not surprisingly the photos that come out best so far are the ones where I let the camera and post-pro software do most of the thinking for me. But that's ok - I always knew this would be a big learning curve.

My first impressions are almost all positive. Can't believe how much you can customise the setup of this camera. I do feel sorry for those with large paws though. The grip and spacing between buttons feels a bit small even in my tiny hands.
Loving the 20mm lens much more than the kit one so far. The zoom on the 14-42 feels a bit plasticky.
Having used only point and shoots for the last 10+ years I'm surprised how quickly I've taken to the electronic viewfinder. I just wish it had a slightly longer eye relief so it was more comfortable with my glasses.
All in all I'm incredibly impressed with the GH2 so far.

I agree, I had a chance to compare it with the 14-45mm a while ago, and while I don't know about IQ, the build quality was much better.

What is the difference between G2 and GH2?
