Why does the GH2 assigns different prefaces the "_" vs "P" to the image file name for vertical shots vs, horizontal shots, I.e. _1050101.JPG vs. P1050102.JPG?

Is there a way to disable this bizarre idiosyncrasy so all files have the same identification preface?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

  2. I thought an underscore prefix was to do with colour space being set to adobeRGB rather than sRGB.

Luckypenguin is right.... the underscore denotes for photos taken with Adobe RGB color space. you can however batch rename it on post process.
