I was asked to record an hour and fifteen minutes lecture tomorrow. I have Panasonic GF2. Can it record for an hour and 15 minutes without break, and is there enough juice in the battery to last that long? Thanks. 720p would be enough for what I am doing

You'd be safer with the battery-AC coupling accessory that penny does. Obviously that doesn't help for tomorrow. Why not try it tonight?

Make sure you are recording in AVCHD mode. The mjpeg files max out at 2.0 GB. 115 minutes at 720p AVCHD is over 8GB so you'll need a large enough card.

Not sure about the battery life. Let us know how it works out!

    Where do you live?

If in Europe, there are time limits on movies to avoid being taxed as a camcorder.

I am in the US. I have 32GB and 16GB SD cards, so thats not an issue. I just wanted to make sure it does not have a 30min time limit, like Sony for example, So I can just leave it. I am not going to do much zooming so hopefully the battery will last.
