Interesting, several weeks ago I'd decided I wanted to try a 14 f/2.5, this would add a spare body (I don't need).

This isn't a very good deal. I bought a brand new GF2/14mm kit off Amazon Prime for $250 a couple months ago.

Yeah, I was thinking it would be easy to get the lens and body, if you wanted it, for less on eBay.

The 14 can be has for $130 to $150 making the GF2 $200. Not a very good value unless you really were after one for a specific reason. I picked up a GF3 and 14 for ~$280 a year ago and didn't think is was that great of a price.

Wow, sorry all. This was all over twitter as a great deal. But I guess it's not...

    But Isn't the 14mm around $320 new?

MSRP is $320 or so. But on eBay, you can find new ones that are separated from kits for ~$180 or secondhand for <$140. And the GF2 goes for <$100 secondhand.

I know you can get things cheaper through ebay/buy & sell forum, but it's sometimes nice to have something new delivered to you fresh -- so I'll point out that you can get the 14mm in a kit with either the GF2 (red) OR the GF3 (white) on Amazon for $300 right now. Not as good a deal as the $250 mentioned earlier, but not half bad either. I think I'm going to hold off because I'd rather put the cash towards a GM1 with its 2mm wider pancake, but I was seriously tempted for a minute!

Does anybody know how well the GF2 converts to IR?

For $300 right now, you could get a Sony NEX-3N with 16-50mm kit lens. Not the best lens, but you get a 16mp APS-C sensor that is better than the GF2 12mp sensor. Saying that, I like the GF2. The images once tweaked are pretty nice.
