I'm still shooting with the good old GF1. While the sensor leaves something to be desired, I still like the ergonomics of the camera and enjoy using it.

I've shot some video with the GF1 and the Pany 25mm f/1.4. Even with the firmware hack, the quality has been disappointing. I'm fine with 720p, but the video looks kinda like it has been upsampled and then had a really aggressive sharpening algorithm applied to it.

I'm interested in picking up the SLR Magic 12mm f/1.6, but I won't bother if the video quality is going to be just as crappy due to limitations of the GF1. However, I have a hunch that maybe the post-processing won't be applied the same with a MF lens, and the video quality would be better?

Does anyone have any experience or info on this topic?

    Thanks so much,
